Christmas Party, Beach, Back Home

A little late, but I thought some of you may want to see some Christmas party pictures and hear about our beach day/my trip back home. Christmas party went well. We sung Rudloph, the kids looked really cute, they did a scavenger hunt for their gifts and we all ate food. The next day was pretty relaxed in school and we just did fun holiday things. Like a Candy Cane experiment. Some of the pictures below are pretty sweet and in collages because I just learned how to do it for my TPT blog. They're nice, right?
They're so funny sometimes.

Me and my class before the show.

Carol got a nutcracker for Christmas. Super appropriate gift for Christmas.

Funny face pic with Marcel. I really love this.

He was pretending to be a reindeer.

Christmas Party Scavenger Hunt

Candy Cane Experiment!

Just because I thought they did a great job on their "did you know bubbles." Lots of coloring, writing, cutting, gluing, and analyzing what they know for a kindergartener.

On Sunday, all the teachers went to the beach for the day. It was lots of fun. We had drinks and played frisbee. The only problem was that guards were actually checking for glass bottles (first time in a year and a half of living there) so we had to transfer all our beer into giant plastic jugs. It was kinda funny.
Opening beers

Laughing about the ridiculousness of what we were doing.

Beach day pictures!

Monday I left campus at about 5am and spent ALL DAY traveling. It probably took a solid 15-16 hours for me to get home. A long boring day, but at least I wasn't sick of busy with grad school work like June. If you want you can check the other TPT blog at Engaging Elementary. And now I'm HOME! and in the SNOW!
Winter walk at home =)

Blog Update, but on another blog?

I have a blog update, but on another blog. Weird right? Well, since I'm likely moving back to the states next year and won't keep living like I'm rich the way I do down here, I figured it was time to try to supplement my income a bit. (Especially when I have a boyfriend who lives in Venezuela and may or may not be coming back to the states, I will need the extra cash for flights..) I decided to do this by making a teachers pay teachers store. The past few days I've worked super hard trying to get it up and running and promote it and my products. One of the things I've done to help me out is to create this new blog http://engagingdelementary.blogspot.com/ My latest update is posted on that blog since it is only education related. I figured I'd need another blog that was a little more educational focused anyway once I got back to the states since my life wouldn't be quite so adventurous on a daily basis. So, moral of the story, there is a blog post, its just on that other blog. Check it out. It's pretty cute.

BTW I've already made a whopping $7.50! =) (needed to brag a little, I'm pretty proud)

One More Week!

Just a quick update while my laundry finishes washing. I will be back home ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! (At least for a bit) I'm really excited for cold weather. I don't have too much to say right now, but expect some really cute pictures coming up this weekend because the school has it's Christmas play on Thursday. I taught my kids Rudolph and we made reindeer antlers they're super cute. Rather then write about everything we're doing, I'm just gonna caption some photos.

Their English is finally good enough to recognize almost all the images during centers. They're sorting them by ending sound here.

We've been keeping journals in science. This one is "where plants can and can not grow." And the picture is that they can grow in the sun, and can not grow under a table.

These are the things plants need.

And these are the parts of a plant.

For our Christmas show we made reindeer antlers.

It was a decent amount of work for them to cut, trace, then cut through the thick paper.

When they were done I let them "be reindeer" and listen to Christmas music a bit to get the joy of the antlers out of their system.

They liked the Christmas music on the projector a lot.

A little sneak preview of what's to come during the Christmas show.

AND! I've recently started up my teachers pay teachers store! If you are a teacher, or just curious, here is the link to it Engaging Elementary. I've put up a few products and already sold one and made a whole $1.50 after TPT took their share. December's TPT check is obviously gonna be HUGE! =P I'm trying to get products out there, so any of you who follow my pinterest, I'm sorry for the extra-excessive amount of TPT pins that have been/will be happening. I also have a blog dedicated for only teaching related things that links to my TPT store Engaging Elementary Blog in case you are curious to check that out. Hopefully this all pays off, but for now it's just fun and exciting. =)

See you all soon!!!
